Senior Magnetics Engineer, post 8/1/2009
Responsibilities

• Design, testing, and specification of electromagnetic structures
• Design and implementation of verification and acceptance testing procedures
• Enhancement of optimization schemes
• Implementation of numerical and analytical solving methods for EM related problems
• Coordination of magnetics engineering with industrial, mechanical, system, and power electronics engineering

• Highly intelligent and hard-working.  
• Proficiency in the use of MATLAB or similar tool - required
• MSEE required, PhD preferred, research focus on, or two years of experience with magnetics and/or power electronics 
• Experience with numerical methods, optimization, and electromagnetic structures - required
• Experience with resonant or near-resonant power electronics (e.g. inverters and DC to DC converters) - preferred
• Proficiency in use of Schematic capture and board layout and SPICE modeling - preferred

• Design, testing, and specification of DC to DC converters
• Design and implementation of verification and acceptance testing procedures
• Component selection and optimization
• Design and specification of thermal management systems for wireless power receivers and transmitters
• Control function design and implementation of basic microprocessors
• Schematics, board layout, fabrication and test of wireless power transmitter and receiver modules
• Coordination of magnetics engineering with industrial, mechanical, system, and power electronics engineering

• Highly intelligent and hard-working.  
• Proficiency in the use of MATLAB or similar tool - strongly preferred 
• MSEE required, PhD preferred, research focus on, or two years of experience with power electronics 
• Experience with resonant or near-resonant power electronics (e.g. inverters and DC to DC converters) - required

• Provide technical leadership in new product design, modification of existing products, production technique improvement & test procedure development.
• Review and/or prepare engineering qualification verification / tests procedures & associated data sheets.
• Interface with external contractors, customers and vendors as required 
• Advise management of new developments which may affect profit, schedule, costs, customer relations, and/or inter-departmental relations.
• Active hands-on involvement in meeting team milestones/deliverables.

• Highly intelligent and hard-working.  
• Experience leading the development of portable electronic devices, preferably consumer electronics
• BSEE required, 5-10 years of experience with electro-mechanical design and development

• Prototyping, board layout, component design and selection.
• Review and/or prepare engineering qualification verification / tests procedures & associated data sheets.
• Interface with external contractors, customers and vendors as required 
• Active hands-on involvement in meeting team milestones/deliverables.

• Highly intelligent and hard-working.  
• BSEE preferred, 3 years completed course work towards BSEE minimum

• Maintain and drive traffic to website
• Update blog with latest developments and industry news
• Develop marketing materials directed towards OEM clients
• Conduct primary market research

• Bachelors of Engineering, Marketing, Finance, Economics, or Business
• 3 years completed course work towards Bachelors

• Fabrication of printed circuit boards
• Tuning of resonant circuits
• Data logging and data sheet preparation

• At least one year experience with electronics fabrication 
• Proficient with MS office suite
